The WBL Champion project unites a diverse partnership of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and private organisations to ensure a comprehensive and effective Work-Based Learning (WBL) framework. This collaboration includes both seasoned and emerging entities in terms of EU funding experience and WBL implementation, striking a balance that enhances organisational capacity while leveraging existing expertise to address the diverse needs of all stakeholders involved—educational institutions, industry partners, and students. The partnership focuses on delivering quality education and addressing skill mismatches, ultimately preparing students for success in the professional world.


VITALE TECNOLOGIE COMUNICAZIONE (VITECO SRL)
VITECO, based in Sicily, is an SME specializing in e-learning and software solutions, focusing on vocational education and training (VET) and collaborative learning technologies. It develops serious games using VR, AR, 2D, and 3D, and operates its own e-learning platform. VITECO provides integrated solutions that simplify access to educational content, catering to a wide range of users without requiring advanced IT skills. Amid challenging socio-economic conditions in Sicily, VITECO emphasizes innovation and entrepreneurship as tools for tackling unemployment. Its European Project Office has extensive experience in managing both EU and regional projects, enhancing its capacity to support educational and developmental initiatives effectively. VITECO is a key component of the JO Group, which is involved in diverse ICT projects including blockchain, AI, and big data.
VITECO coordinates the WBL Champion project, ensuring sound management and leading the development of the online learning platform, project website, and visual identity.

INOVA+ - INNOVATIONSERVICES, SA (INOVA+)
INOVA+ is Portugal’s leading company in managing international projects related to Innovation, Education & Training, and Research & Technological Development. With over 25 years of experience and offices in multiple European cities, INOVA+ employs more than 85 consultants and is deeply involved in over 100 European projects, including Horizon Europe and Erasmus+.
INOVA+ excels in delivering expert solutions across various domains such as Education & Training, Innovation Systems, and Science & Technology, while actively participating in influential networks like TICE.PT and Forum Oceano. Their extensive experience and broad network enable them to effectively lead and manage significant project components, especially in EU-funded initiatives.
In the WBL Champion project, INOVA+ is leading the regulatory analysis and identification of national and EU WBL policies, including best practices; as well as the development of the QA toolkit.In addition, INOVA+ contributes to quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle, in collaboration with the coordinator VITECO.”

CENTRAL MEDITERRANEAN BUSINESS SCHOOL LIMITED (CMBS)
Central Mediterranean Business School (CMBS) is a private educational institution in Malta, known for its cutting-edge, globally recognised business education, providing students with real-world skills and international perspectives to become visionary global leaders. It is distinguished for pioneering work-based learning (WBL) in Malta, particularly through its accredited WBL MBA program. CMBS maintains a strong international outlook, with a diverse student body and extensive industry connections, including strategic agreements with partners like Coventry University and ACCA. The school excels in delivering tailored, flexible educational experiences through specialized workshops, mentoring sessions, and bootcamps designed to meet the needs of working professionals and ensure high student satisfaction and success rates.
In the WBL project, CMBS is spearheading the pilot testing of the micro credentials and CPD courses, in addition to managing the communication and dissemination efforts aimed at our target audiences.

TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY DUBLIN (TU DUBLIN)
Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin), established from the merger of three institutes, is Ireland’s first Technological University with over 28,000 students and 3,500 staff. It offers extensive academic programs in STEM, business, media, arts, and more, maintaining a significant focus on lifelong learning and part-time education. TU Dublin excels in innovation and research, contributing significantly to both the local and international community through its pioneering work in technology and creative sectors. It has fostered over 400 new businesses valued at almost €700 million and has a strong global presence with numerous international partnerships. The university incorporates Work-Based Learning (WBL) across its programs, enhancing student employability by integrating real-world experience into the curriculum, thus ensuring that graduates are work-ready and well-prepared to meet industry demands. TU Dublin is committed to addressing global challenges with a focus on People, Partnership, and Planet, aiming to nurture talent and foster technological advancements through its practice-based and research-informed approach.
In the WBL project, TU Dublin is responsible for developing the CPD courses and will be piloting them along with the microcredentials, in collaboration with CMBS.
